A lot of Vista beta testers were able to install Vista beta, but when the release version was for sale, then Vista became a nightmare to install as it shows in the vista install .... At least I don't have to buy Anti-virus software or malware removal tools. Now look who is brainwashed. So? What does that mean?

I installed it and was prepared to eat a lot of crow, because this time security center recognized AVG as my antivirus and I didn't have the "there are no updates for windows defender" errors. Same problem as before - the Vista beta drivers from ATI just make the screen glitch out into pastel-colored boxes.

I've been running Picasa on Vista beta and the released product for months and haven't seen anything like you are describing... anything unusual about your setup? What anti-virus do you have? What type of user account are you running (standard, limited)? What CD burning software do you have installed?
